Historically
Alan Saslaw is a South Florida native from North Miami Beach, Florida. Alan obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida where he studied psychology, accounting and marketing. After graduating from the University of Florida Alan sold commercial real estate for approximately three years after which he attended and graduated from the University of Miami School of Law.
Admitted to practice law in all Florida State Courts, as well as the United States District Court of the Southern District of Florida, Alan is additionally a member of the Florida Justice Association, formerly the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar
Alan initially worked in the area of serious personal injuries, wrongful death cases, and admiralty personal injuries, representing passengers and crew injured on ships.
Alan thereafter worked for an insurance defense law firm which was hired by various insurance companies to defend their insureds who had been sued; those insureds being businesses, corporations, individuals and a large chain of supermarkets. Alan worked hand in hand with insurance adjusters and learned from the "inside" how insurance companies analyze and defend their cases.
Now, through his own law practice, Alan continues to handle serious personal injury and wrongful death cases, as well as representing individuals, businesses and corporations in a variety of matters such as commercial litigation cases, breach of contract cases, collection cases, real estate litigation and condominium litigation, to name a few.
